Kolli Hills is a minor mountain chain of the namakkal district of tamil nadu, india. It is a part of eastern ghats. 

Hills have an altitude of 1,000-1,300 above sea level, and this fact implies that the climate is cool and pleasant most of the year.

When you are going up to take a ride on Salem or Namakkal, there are 70 sharp hairpin bends on your way to the top. Yes, 70! The process of the journey itself is an adventure. 

I can even recall my first visit there the momentary turns were thrilling, and the scenery was growing better and better.

This is a tamil word, Kolli. Others claim that it translates to death, hence the slogan, Kolli Kills, became a common one. However, it is not the case.

A long time ago, there was a mentality regarding a mysterious spirit or a protector named Kolli Pavai.
Kolli Pavai was reported to be a pretty young girl who defended the hills. 

She would seduce evil spirits and kill them according to the local legends. Due to this story, people thought that the hills possessed supernatural power.

The name in the long run caused fear and mystery. And now Kolli Hills is safe And tranquil. The kills section is more of a myth than an actual fact.

Over the last few years, the popularity of Kolli Hills has been on the increase, particularly among the youthful travelers and bikers.

The height of this waterfall is approximately 300 feet. To get there, almost 1,000 steps will be made. It is a tiresome sound, yet the view is worth the measure. 

When I visited it I heard the sound of water way before I happened to see it. The air felt fresh and cool.

However, keep in mind, it is easy to go down. Coming back up needs energy! it is significant to take the water.

2. Arapaleeswarar Temple:

This temple is an ancient one that is devoted to Lord Shiva. It is said to be over a millennium old. A lot of individuals go to this temple to get spiritual tranquility.

Kolli Hills is surrounded with green forests, small farms and tribal villages. The plains beneath can be looked down upon at a large number of points.

Kolli Hills is safe with a safe journey. You must not drive recklessly like in any hill station, particularly on the hairpin turns. You should not travel late in the night when you are not conversant with the roads.
